The melabs Programmer is a software that can help you to connect to a PC USB port.
The melabs Programmer can program most PIC® microcontrollers (MCUs) either in-circuit or in an optional ZIF, surface-mount or PLCC adapter.

It will not program the base-line PIC16C5x parts or the high-end PIC17C4x parts. The melabs EPIC™ Programmer connects to a native parallel printer port
